We are pleased to announce the release of the Goals and Objectives module, now available to all StewardTrack users on Essential plan and above.
What Is the Goals Module?
The goals module gives your church a structured way to define, assign, and track progress toward ministry objectives. Whether you are running a building fund campaign, planning a church anniversary event, or tracking your evangelism targets for the year, goals give you a single place to see what needs to happen and who is responsible for it.
Key Features
Hierarchical goal structure: Create top-level goals with sub-goals underneath. A "2026 Church Growth Campaign" goal might have sub-goals for evangelism, discipleship, and facilities — each with their own owner and timeline.
Progress tracking: Each goal has a status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed, On Hold) and an optional percentage completion. Update these as work progresses and see the whole picture at a glance on the goals dashboard.
Assignment and accountability: Every goal can be assigned to a specific person — a ministry leader, a committee chair, or a staff member. They receive notifications when the goal is created and when deadlines are approaching.
Connected to other modules: Goals can be linked to events on the calendar and to ministry funds in the finance module. This connects planning to execution and to resources in a single view.
Why We Built This
We heard from many church leaders that planning happened in meetings, got recorded in notebooks, and then often disappeared. There was no system for tracking whether the decisions made in January had actually been acted on by July.
The goals module is our answer to that problem. Every ministry objective — from "complete roof repair by March" to "launch second Sunday service by Q3" — has a home, an owner, and a visible status.
