Facebook Data Deletion Instructions

How to disconnect StewardTrack from your Facebook Page and request deletion of related data.

Last updated: July 1, 2026

StewardTrack lets churches connect a Facebook Page to publish announcements and, when enabled, manage Messenger conversations. Use the steps below to disconnect and request deletion of related data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy (Section 7 โ€” Facebook Page Integration).

Step 1 โ€” Disconnect in StewardTrack

  1. Sign in to StewardTrack as an organization administrator.
  2. Go to Administration โ†’ Settings โ†’ Integrations.
  3. Open the Facebook Page section.
  4. Click Disconnect and confirm.
  5. This clears the stored Page access token and connection settings for your organization in StewardTrack.

Step 2 โ€” Revoke access in Facebook (recommended)

  1. Sign in to Facebook with the account that connected your church Page.
  2. Open Facebook Settings โ†’ Business Integrations (or Settings โ†’ Apps and Websites).
  3. Find StewardTrack in the list and remove or revoke access to your Page.
  4. This removes the app's authorization on Meta's side so StewardTrack can no longer act on your Page.

Step 3 โ€” Request deletion of stored data

  1. If you also want Messenger conversation history removed from StewardTrack, email privacy@stewardtrack.com from your organization administrator account.
  2. Include your church or organization name and the Facebook Page name that was connected.
  3. State that you want StewardTrack to delete stored Facebook-related data for your organization.
  4. We will delete or anonymize stored Messenger conversation data upon request, subject to legal retention requirements.
  5. We aim to respond within 30 days.

If you messaged a church Page

  1. If you sent a message to a church Facebook Page that uses StewardTrack Messenger inbox, contact that church directly to access, correct, or delete your messages.
  2. If you cannot reach the church, email privacy@stewardtrack.com with the Page name and approximate date of your message. We will assist in routing your request to the organization or processing it where we are able.

What we delete

Disconnecting in StewardTrack removes stored Page access tokens and integration settings. Revoking access in Facebook removes the app authorization on Meta's side and triggers StewardTrack's deauthorize callback, which clears any Page connections linked to that Facebook account. For complete removal, we recommend doing both. Posts already published to Facebook remain on Facebook until you delete them on Facebook or through StewardTrack while the connection was still active. We do not sell Facebook data.
